Chapter 1

It was a sticky afternoon. The kind that stems from weather that's not only hot, but humid as well. You know the type; where it feels like your arms stick to the counter and won't come off or peeling off a wet layer of clothing when you haven't come in contact with any source of water but your skin.

Water is a powerful source. It erodes the most powerful of metals but makes up 80 percent of our bodies. Strange.
